Here’s an explanation for why iPhone fans can no longer hear all the Android haters.
Advancements in Apple’s smartphone technology over the years have produced nearly consistent increases in speaker volume, according to a test conducted by Apple news site iClarified.
Spotted by BGR, the analysis video shows every iPhone model to date lined up one by one playing a sample sound at full volume, each with its own decibel meter to measure audible output. The original iPhone registered the second-quietest output, 94.3 dB (behind the iPhone 4’s 92.9 dB), while the iPhone 6 produced the loudest volume, 105.4 dB.
What’s that? You think the iPhone is too expensive? And it’s built with last year’s hardware? Sorry, having trouble hearing you.
