Yahoo is introducing its own web
browser named as Axis. Axis also includes versions for iPhone, iPad, and
plug-ins for the other browsers like Firefox, IE, chrome, and Safari. Ethan
Batraski, head of product for the Search Innovation Group at Yahoo told that
the goal of the product is to eliminate the middle step of the usual search
process.
Normally, you enter a query, see
results, and then go to the desired page. By using Axis, you will be going
directly from query to page. The step in which you have to see a bunch of web
links is going to be eliminated in the browser. It does not mean that you
cannot see the search results at all. Axis rather provides a better way to
search.
