Three Feathers, a Movie made in Four languages

Three Feathers, a film based on a concrete novel by Fort Smith, N.W.T. Characters will be learning more than their lines as shooting begins this week in the community.

The movie is being made in four languages: English, Chipewyan, South Slavey and Bush Cree, and the same performers will be speaking their lines in all four.

According to the film producer, they are actually creating four movies, one in each language.

The actors are about from the Fort Smith area, but many are not fluent in any language but English. But Some of the actors do speak either Cree or Chipewyan.

Predicted time for each scene depends on how quickly and easily the cast learns all those lines from different languages.
