How to look at the solar eclipse

It is extremely dangerous to directly  look at the sun without any protection because you can go blind. The only way to look at the eclipsed Sun without any harm is to filter the sun rays. The Sun's ultraviolet radiation can burn the retinas of the eye and can lead to permanent blindness. This can also occur when your eyes are exposed to direct sunlight even for few seconds.

NASA suggest that welder's glasses rated 14 or higher. You don't need toil digging for that you can easily find at your local welding supply store, but  keep in mind that the glass grading may vary in different countries.Astronomers also recommend filter in front of a telescope or camera, that reduces the sun's brightness and filter the ultraviolet and infrared radiation.According to NASA there are some materials you should never use while watching a solar eclipse, like a color film, smoked glass, sunglasses and computer floppy disks.
