Moving towards the
innovations, Google has taken another step into the smart home market; the
company has recently introduced a Wi-Fi camera that would stream live footage
of what is happening in your home. Dropcam reveals the camera
that saves the footage to the cloud; the users can view the live stream or
check the recording of what is happening in their home anytime from anywhere. Looking
at this technology, Google has acquired Nest for $3.2 billion for
an expansion into home security. On the other hand, Dropcam has revealed that people detection software with waterproof tabs
would be available to the customers in August; this software will allow you to
detect motion in the regions where the you would not be able to place a camera;
it would cost $149. Apple is also intended to launch a smart home program while
Microsoft has also announced its own internet of things offering for businesses as announced in the
developer conference back in April.
