Regardless of the fact that
Windows XP will never die and it is still very popular in various countries
including China, Microsoft has decided to stop supporting XP operating system;
it means there would be no bug fixes, software updates and security patches for
the software. It is interesting that Microsoft is warning the businesses and
people in order to avoid any cyber crime by the hi-tech thieves. Microsoft has
been working with other software companies to make the people aware about the
upgrades and updates so that the people would not find it difficult for XP to
other operating systems. Though, it is quite hard to leave windows XP because
of its long life and secure sessions; but Microsoft has been forcing people to
export your data to Windows 7 or Windows in order to avoid any serious security
issue in the future. Michael Silver, a vice president at Gartner consultancy,
said that we estimate that 20%-25% people would be using XP operating system on
April 9; but it is better to shift to other windows operating system with the
help of the recent software upgrades by Microsoft and other software
companies.
